About LHU ART CENTER

龍華科技大學自創校五十五年以來，即秉持科學報國之理念，培養理工專業人材投身社會建設為宗旨。有鑒於提昇理工科系學生藝術涵養之重要性、貫徹「全人教育」理想，除了美化校園景觀與課程設計養成，更於甫落成的行政大樓內成立了龍華科技大學藝文中心。

展場面積約300坪，寬敞明亮，無論是硬體設施或展演活動，均以一流水準自我期許，，著重人文思想與專業學科齊頭並進。

Since its founding 55 years ago, Lunghwa University of Science and Technology has adhered to the principle of serving the nation through science, with the mission of cultivating professionals in science and engineering to contribute to societal development. Recognizing the importance of enhancing the artistic literacy of students in science and engineering disciplines and realizing the ideal of "holistic education," the university has taken steps to beautify the campus and design curricula that foster this goal. Additionally, the university recently established the Lunghwa University of Science and Technology Art and Culture Center in the newly completed administration building.

The exhibition space covers approximately 300 ping (about 1,000 square meters), providing a spacious environment. Both the hardware facilities and the events hosted in the center aim for superior quality, emphasizing a balanced development of humanistic thought alongside professional academic disciplines.

定期主辦展演活動包括名家座談、藝文展演、校內美展、音樂會、首映會、等，不僅為全校師生提供一個心靈休憩的空間，同時賦予促進鄰近社區藝文薰陶。

藝文中心典藏中外藝術家作品、建立藝術資料庫與相關出版品；平時結合教學藝術欣賞等設計課程，並積極拓展國際藝文與學術研究交流。

The center regularly hosts exhibitions and performances, including talks by renowned figures, art exhibitions, on-campus art competitions, concerts, premieres, and more. These events not only provide a space for relaxation and inspiration for all faculty and students but also contribute to the cultural enrichment of the surrounding community.

The Art and Culture Center collects works from both domestic and international artists, establishes an art database, and curates related publications. It integrates art appreciation into the curriculum design and actively fosters international exchanges in art, culture, and academic research.

■ 本藝術中心開放時間為星期一至星期五，每天上午9至下午5點，週日及國定假日暫不開放。
■ 場地使用以藝術空間為限，展出者不得安置有危及安全性物體，以免損壞場地設備。
■ 空間佈置應於展出前一日完成，展出結束後一日內完成會場拆除，並取回作品，負責清理場地及恢復空間原狀。
 

• The Art Center is open from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. It will be closed on Sundays and public holidays.

• The venue usage is limited to artistic activities. Exhibitors are not allowed to place any objects that could pose safety risks, to avoid damage to the venue's equipment.

• Space setup must be completed one day before the exhibition, and the venue must be dismantled and artworks retrieved within one day after the exhibition ends. The exhibitor is responsible for cleaning the space and restoring it to its original condition.Additional regulations will be explained separately based on the specific activities conducted.

本中心設有校史館，展示龍華科技大學發展史及各項紀念文物。創辦人孫法民先生偕夫人孫陳淑娟女士，選定龍迴鳳舞之「迴龍丹鳳」地區，以「龍之傳人，耀我中華」為建校宗旨，並手訂校訓「勤、敬、誠、樸」之精神，創辦本校，命名為「私立龍華工業技藝專科學校」，初期僅設機械技術、電工技術、工業電子及電化技術四科。學校秉持「務實、卓越、創新」為教育理念，建構完整組織架構，並以學術與技術研發，從事教學、實務與學術研究，以培育出兼具專業技術及人文素養的博雅科技人才。

The center houses the university's history museum, showcasing the development of Lunghwa University of Science and Technology and various commemorative artifacts. The founders, Mr. Sun Fa-Min and his wife, Mrs. Sun Chen Shu-Juan, selected the area of "Huilong and Danfeng," symbolizing the harmony of dragons and phoenixes, with the mission of "Inheritors of the Dragon, Glorify China." They personally established the school's motto, "Diligence, Respect, Integrity, and Simplicity," and founded the institution under the name "Private Lunghwa Technical College." Initially, the school offered four programs: Mechanical Technology, Electrical Technology, Industrial Electronics, and Electrochemical Technology. The university adheres to the educational philosophy of "Pragmatism, Excellence, and Innovation," with a comprehensive organizational structure, and engages in academic and technical research, aiming to cultivate well-rounded technological professionals who possess both technical expertise and humanistic qualities.
